The Invest Wolverhampton team is gearing up to make a splash at the upcoming UK Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum in Leeds from May 21 to 23. This dedicated team will be stationed at the West Midlands Growth Company Pavilion, ready to pitch their regeneration plans to potential investors, funders, developers, and housebuilders.

Kicking off the event on Tuesday, Wavensmere Homes and its Managing Director, James Dickens, will be taking center stage to discuss the remarkable transformation of derelict sites into vibrant, sustainable communities. Attendees can look forward to hearing about the unveiling of £150 million plans for Wolverhampton Canalside South. Joining the panel will be Richard Lawrence, the council’s director of city development, to provide key insights.

The excitement continues on Wednesday with the session “Wolverhampton – City Centre Growth Through New Urban Living,” where a panel of speakers, including Maggie Grogan of Muse;, Tim Heatley, co-founder of Capital&Centric, and Jo Nugent, director of markets, partners, and places at Homes England, will shed light on plans for new homes, vibrant communities, and economic growth in the city.

Additionally, the “Delivering the West Midlands Investment Zone” session will feature council chief executive Tim Johnson and other local government leaders delving into the power of collaboration in regional growth. The focus will be on Wolverhampton’s Green Innovation Corridor and its pivotal role in shaping the city’s future.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the event, Councillor Chris Burden, the council’s cabinet member for city development, jobs, and skills, highlighted Wolverhampton’s bold and ambitious regeneration plans.
