Florida Ranked No. 2 for Properties Most Likely to be Sold or Rented in 2021

The real estate market in Southwest Florida is thriving, as new research has unveiled the states where properties are most likely to be sold and rented this year. Florida has secured the second spot on the list, with a staggering 13,985 searches per 100,000 people – 18% above the national average.

The study conducted by online self-storage finder Storage.com analyzed Google searches for keywords related to real estate sites such as Zillow and Trulia, to gauge which states are experiencing the highest interest in moving. With a total of 476,050,700 property and rental site searches made last year across the US, Florida emerged as a hotbed for real estate activity.

Colorado claimed the top spot on the list, with 14,414 searches per 100,000 residents – a 21% boost over the national average. On the flip side, Alaska finds itself at the bottom of the list, with a measly 6,025 searches per 100,000 people, 49% lower than the national average.

Aside from highlighting the states with the highest and lowest levels of interest in property listings, the study also pinpointed the best time of year to list homes. March emerged as the prime time for real estate listings, with a whopping 44,698,660 searches around real-estate sites – 13% more than the monthly average. Homeowners looking to sell or rent their properties may want to capitalize on this information and prepare to advertise their listings now to maximize their chances of a successful transaction.
