Sheffield Leaders Champion City’s Growth and Investment Opportunities at UKREiiF

Sheffield leaders have made a big impact at the UK’s largest real estate and investment event in Leeds, showcasing the city’s potential for growth and development. At the UK Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), attended by 12,000 delegates from around the world, the Sheffield City Council leadership team participated in various panel sessions, debates, and showcases.

The council demonstrated its commitment to tackling decarbonization and housing challenges while driving transformative urban regeneration and innovation hubs. The event provided a platform for Sheffield to highlight its development opportunities, including the £470 million Heart of the City scheme, the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation District, and the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.

Cllr Tom Hunt, Leader of Sheffield City Council, emphasized the city’s growth plan and investment opportunities, stating that Sheffield is a global, green, and growing city with a forecasted £3 billion investment. The council’s partnership with Homes England and plans to deliver 20,000 new homes in central Sheffield were also highlighted at the event.

The packed-out showcase event hosted by Sheffield at UKREiiF featured key figures from Homes England, Legal & General, and the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, discussing the city’s growth plans through placemaking, innovation, sustainability, and investment. The council’s Chief Executive, Kate Josephs CB, noted the positive reception and buzz surrounding Sheffield at the event, showcasing the city’s vision for growth and development.
