Invest Hull to Showcase City’s Investment Opportunities at UK Real Estate Forum

The Invest Hull team from Hull City Council is gearing up to once again promote a variety of investment opportunities in the city at the UK’s Real Estate Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF).

As Yorkshire’s only waterfront city, Hull and the surrounding region will be showcased by the team, who are dedicated to attracting new investment. Over the last decade, Invest Hull has played a significant role in drawing in over £5 billion of investment, with major players such as Siemens Gamesa, Reckitt, and the University of Hull investing £750m in the city and creating hundreds of jobs.

The upcoming regional showcase session at UKREiiF will provide the council with the opportunity to give investors, developers, end-users, and local authorities an insight into the city’s future plans and prospects.

The Invest Hull team will be led by Alex Codd, the council’s assistant director for economic development and regeneration, and Garry Taylor, assistant director for major projects, culture, and place.

Alex will be speaking on day three of the event on a panel titled ‘The Place Trailblazers: Optimising Assets for Better Place Outcomes’, while Garry will be part of a discussion on ‘Eat, Sleep, Art, Repeat: Using Cultural & Creative Arts within Masterplans & Destination Strategies!’.

Alex expressed his excitement for the opportunity to showcase Hull’s potential for investment at UKREiiF, highlighting the team’s attendance at the event since its inception in 2022 and their continued growth.

Garry added, “Alex and I will be sharing our city’s plans and landscape for the coming years. We’re delighted to have been given the chance to speak as part of panel discussions and it will be great to liaise with other authorities and bodies while there too.”

Hosted by Built Environment Networking and supported by leading property and infrastructure companies, the third annual UKREiiF event aims to attract inward investment, generate economic growth, and drive a more sustainable and inclusive culture within the property and construction industries.

With over 12,000 attendees confirmed, including investors, developers, and local authorities, UKREiiF 2024 will take place from Tuesday, May 21 to Thursday, May 23 at Royal Armouries, Leeds. The Invest Hull team will be located at stand D30 in New Dock Hall.
