Luxury new-build in Burleigh Waters smashes suburb record at auction for $4.765m

In a stunning turn of events, a luxury new-build property in the suburb of Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast has shattered records with a winning bid of $4.765 million. The Palm Springs-inspired family home located at 38 Honeyeater Drive attracted six registered bidders at auction, ultimately setting a new suburb record.

The auction, conducted by Ray White Burleigh Group – Miami’s Rebecca Moffrey and Troy Fitzgerald, saw bidding start at $2.3 million and escalate through more than a dozen bids before stalling at $4.55 million. After an hour and a half of negotiations, the hammer finally fell at $4.765 million, with a delighted Gold Coast buyer snagging the keys.

The five-bedroom, four-bathroom home boasts a media room, study, double garage, outdoor entertaining area, swimming pool, spa, and firepit. With low maintenance gardens, 3m ceilings, and an open plan layout, the property offers a perfect blend of indoor and outdoor living.

The attention to detail in this new build is exceptional, with high-quality finishes and a modern beachy design by builder Joe Bebek. Mr. Bebek, who initially purchased the prime waterfront land in 2019, created a family home that is also an entertainer’s paradise.

This record-breaking sale surpasses the previous suburb record of $4.485 million and reflects the growing demand for high-quality, modern homes in the Burleigh Waters area. With a median house price of $1.5 million, up 1.4% over the past 12 months, it is clear that this property represents a significant milestone in the real estate market on the Gold Coast.
