Prologis appoints new Chief Legal Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer

Prologis, a leading logistics-focused real estate company, has appointed Deborah Briones as its next Chief Legal Officer, following the retirement of current CLO Ed Nekritz after nearly 30 years with the company.

Briones, who has been with Prologis for almost two decades, currently leads several legal teams and government affairs initiatives. In her new role, she will be responsible for overseeing all legal matters for the company’s global business, including corporate governance, compliance, and litigation.

Additionally, Prologis has promoted Nathaalie Carey to Chief Human Resources Officer in conjunction with Briones’ appointment.

Hamid Moghada, Co-founder, Chairman, and CEO of Prologis, expressed his excitement about the new appointments, stating that both Briones and Carey will contribute to the company’s continued growth and success.

Prior to joining Prologis, Briones was a corporate attorney at Latham & Watkins in San Francisco. She has held various positions within the legal department at Prologis before being appointed as Deputy General Counsel in August 2022.

Briones will officially assume the role of Chief Legal Officer at the beginning of next year, while Nekritz will remain with the company as a senior advisor until 2025. Nekritz played a significant role in the company’s legal department and its merger with AMB in 2011.

In a statement, Nekritz expressed his gratitude for his time with Prologis, acknowledging the innovation and passion of his colleagues in building the company’s success.

The leadership changes at Prologis mark an important transition for the company as it continues to evolve and expand its global presence in the real estate market.
