‘INXS House’ shatters beach record with unprecedented sale price slash

Record-breaking sale of ‘INXS House’ in South Coast Hamlet

The ‘INXS House’ in the popular South Coast hamlet of Hyams Beach has set a new house price record with a recent sale of $5 million. The property, originally purchased by INXS drummer Jon Farriss for $1.78 million in 2016, underwent a major renovation before being listed for sale for $9 million in late 2021.

Despite the initial high expectations, the home ultimately sold for $4 million less than the original asking price. The property has five bedrooms and boasts open-plan living areas that lead to a terrace overlooking the ocean.

The latest buyer, Siobhan Foley, a senior manager with Macquarie Group, now owns the record-breaking property. Local real estate experts believe that this record may not last long, with multiple parties already showing interest in other high-end properties in the area.

With the beachfront home of yachtie Jim Cooney and the holiday home of former Sunrise co-host Samantha Armytage still on the market, the South Coast hamlet of Hyams Beach continues to attract attention from luxury property buyers. Stay tuned for more developments in this exclusive coastal enclave.
