“Women’s Investment in UAE Real Estate Soars to AED58.8 Billion, Driving Economic Growth”

Women’s increasing participation in the real estate sector in the UAE has been a game-changer, with recent data from the Dubai Land Department (DLD) revealing that women investors have contributed over AED58.8 billion ($16 billion) to the sector.

The numbers speak for themselves, with a remarkable 51% surge in the number of women investors in 2022 compared to the previous year. This trend of escalating financial independence is set to continue into 2023, with market projections indicating a further 50% year-on-year growth by the end of the year.

A recent government report also highlighted the fact that women now own 30% of the property in Dubai, underscoring their significant economic contribution and growing influence on the nation’s financial landscape.

What sets this growth in women’s investment portfolios apart is not just the magnitude but also the diversity. Women investors are strategically diversifying their investments across various asset classes, including stocks, bonds, real estate, and alternative investments.

The real estate sector remains a significant cornerstone of women’s investment strategies, accounting for 40% of their investments. However, technology and healthcare sectors are also gaining traction, with 30% and 20% shares of investments respectively. The remaining 10% is spread across diverse sectors, showcasing the multifaceted nature of women’s investment interests.

Rachit Pant, CEO & Board Member of Hedge & Sachs, commented on the trend, saying, “The steadfast growth in women’s investments stands as a testament to their increasing financial literacy, strategic prowess, and role as formidable contributors to the UAE’s economic development. The distribution of women investors’ portfolios, focusing on real estate, technology, healthcare, and other sectors, showcases a meticulous approach to diversification and aligning investments with their values.”

Hedge & Sachs’ Invest’HER’ initiative, which mentors and educates women on investment opportunities, has seen a significant increase in inquiries, highlighting the growing interest women are showing in investments and the success of tailor-made financial solutions.

The surge in women’s investment in the UAE is more than just a statistic; it is a story of empowerment and progress, with women playing a vital role in shaping the nation’s economic future.
