London, with its above-average property prices, naturally dominated the top of the list. Areas such as Mayfair, St John’s Wood, and Holland Park saw an increase in sales searches, indicating a growing interest in prestigious London boroughs.
Topping the list for London is Buckingham Gate in Westminster, with an average asking price of £9.6 million. This exclusive street boasts luxurious properties, with one nine-bedroom house currently on the market for a staggering £45 million.
Other sought-after addresses in London include Vicarage Gate in Holland Park, where a four-bedroom maisonette is listed for £5 million, and Park Road in St John’s Wood, where a penthouse apartment with stunning views is priced at £10.95 million.
In Knightsbridge, Cadogan Square boasts a Grade II listed house built in 1889, with a price tag of £17.5 million. This upscale area is home to famous department store Harrods and is known for its luxury properties.
Outside of London, Surrey emerged as the top location for high property prices, with streets like Old Avenue in Weybridge commanding an average asking price of £2.6 million. The Ridgeway in Cuffley, Manor Road in Chigwell, Swithland Lane in Rothley, and Norsey Road in Billericay also featured on the list of coveted addresses.
On the rental side, Albion Street in Bayswater, West London, took the top spot as the most expensive street to rent in the UK, with properties averaging £20,857 per month. Pavilion Road in Knightsbridge and Duke Street in Mayfair followed closely behind, with average monthly rents of £15,251 and £14,441, respectively.
